One project I am going to work on is a Freshmen Field Day project. Francis Britschgi is the leader of this project. This project's objective is to let the freshmen have a day to relax and bond with each other and even to get some missing homework done! My role in this project is to help Francis with planning this whole thing out and to make it work. Each of us will have a role and try our best to finish it. Some obstacles in this project is that we might not be able to focus on it since we also have our own projects to do, but I think we will all be successful if we try hard enough.
Another project I'm helping with is a Road Clean-Up day. The leader of this project is Tyler Chrsitopher. In this project, I will be helping him and 8 other people clean up a road on a Saturday. This way, we can help the environment. We will all work hard and remind each other to not get too lazy to pick up trash! We will also try to be optimistic about things. There are cool hats and jackets we get to wear when we're cleaning up too! (:
Our largest obstacle is getting too lazy to help the environment. We might not want to go and help. But I think that if we all stay positive, everything will work out!
The last project I'll be working is is lead by Anthea Phuong. She is creating a Sophomore get-together. I will be helping her create posters, coming up with ideas, and hanging up the posters. I will also get to crash this get-together even though I'm a freshmen. This will be a way to help the 10th graders have a good time and to release stress and just hang out with their friends. Our problem might be not a lot of poeple going or knowing about this get-together. We will all try to get the word around and tell everyone that this will be a great time since it will! We will just try our best.

In order for my group members to stay focused and akways be doing their work, I will make things fun but helping our project at the same time. Also I will try not to be lazy myself and I will work as hard as I can to accomplish these tasks successfully. And for the activities, I'll try my best to think of as many ideas and activities for this event as possible. And I will also encourage my teamates to brainstorm ideas too.
I will try to make these planning goals as easy and fun as possible so nobody would be stressed. I would also keep things positive, once again, so that nobody would feel pressure and anything like that so we could work freely.

So far...
Today in class, I thought about all the possible ideas for this party. I worked with one of my group mates (who is also in the class) with the all the activities we could do. I also made sure that I could get approval for my mentor, Mrs. Fitz, and I also asked questions. I have many things left to do.

Plans
This freshmen and sophomore get-together will be in the afternoon after school on a Thursday. We will be watching a movie from a projector in the lunch room (Of course with asking permission first). This party will be Holiday themed. People can go dressed up in winter/holiday clothes. There will also be food and treats as well as other games and activities. This project will help me experience how to be a leader. I will try to reach my goals as a leader throughout this project.
Some obstacles and challenges I'm expected from this project is actually planning all the activities that will happen there. On the bright side, It wouldn't be that hard to get permission from the staff to hold this event at the school. Also, decoratng the place would take some time and effort, and as much people as possible.
Within a week of the starting date (October 25th), I will brainstorm ideas and activities with my group to try to get started. We'll finish brainstorming by November 1st. After the brainstorming, we'll have two weeks to actually plan out what activities and games we could do. We'll plan out how we could make these activities happen and how. We'll finish planning by November 12th. An event has to happen at a time and place right? Well in the week after planning, we'll talk about what time and what day we could make this happen. We will also talk to the school staff and others to ask for permission to hold this winter even in the cafeteria. We'll finish by November 19th. In the next week, we have 3 days off, so we'll be taking a break that whole week. On the 29th of Novemer, we'll start to get thinking about what designs and decorations we can do for the event. We'll figure out how we'll get the decorations and we'll ask some people to help us out with decorating after school, right before the party. We'll fnish all this planning and such by December 3rd, maybe a week later if there are any problems. The actual party/event will be maybe on the 16th of December (Thursday).
I will try very hard to meet my milestones.
Some materials I will need for this is mostly just the decorations and the things needed for the activities and games. Ideas and teamwork is definately needed though! Also, my mentor is Mrs. Fitzpatrick. I'm sure she will be a great help to my plans(:
